4. If you have relatives in Sudan, you can give a sponsor letter as well. Put all the details including, full name, address, and phone number.

5. Hotel reservation or a travel agency that’s based in Sudan.

6. Only one recent passport size picture.

7. Self Address prepaid trackable return label and envelope. Please note that it should be TRACKABLE and please remember the tracking number so you can monitor your package. (FedEx, UPS, Express Mail (USPS), DHL, Airborne Express)

Visa Fee for Sudan Tourist Visa

The visa fee for a tourist or business visa is $154.00. 

Mode of Payment:

For applications by mail: Company check, cashier’s check or money order.

For applications at the embassy (drop off): Cash, company check, cashier’s check, or money order.

Processing time: 

The processing time may take a bit longer. It is for about 4 to 6 weeks. But you can also follow up on your application at the Consular Section of the Embassy after 10 business days.

Important things to remember

  • Please wait for 10 business days before you follow up or check the status of your application by phone.

  • Please remember that if you’re applying for a family visit visa, the letter should be from a relative. Any letter coming from anyone (business or company) aside from a family member will be rejected.

  • In applying for a tourist or business visa, you should apply on your own behalf in person or by mail. A third party is not authorized by the Embassy of Sudan.

  • Even if you have your itineraries, it doesn't mean that the Embassy will expedite the process of your visa.

1. When should I apply for a visa?

Applying for a Sudan visa may take a long time. Because of this, it is advisable to apply for a visa at least 2 months before your target departure date. After 10 days of submitting your requirements, you can call the embassy to check the status of your application. 

2. Is it safe to travel to Sudan?

If you are to travel to Sudan please be reminded that there are still some areas that are threatened by violent crimes, civil conflicts, and terrorism. The best time to visit Sudan might be from November to January. During these months, the temperature in the country is warm and cool during the day, and cold during the evening. You’d have a more comfortable journey if you will go here at this time of the year.

Sudan’s main languages are Arabic and English. However, only educated people speak English most of the time.
